THE ROLE WE NEED

5 Stones is seeking a Brand Strategist who will operate as a key voice within our Agency as we help our clients clarify their message and share their story. This role is responsible for unearthing key strategic insights for our clients, like who they serve, what problems they solve, and how they can help, and then sharing those insights back with the client through clear, compelling, and effective messaging. The Brand Strategist is a creative storyteller who is able to intuit the charisma, voice, and story that differentiates our clients and helps them stand out.

This role is client-facing, and key responsibilities include leading brand strategy sessions, writing inspiring and original messaging, and collaborating with our wider creative team to carry brand assets through into all creative work. We need someone who is knowledgeable about a broad range of marketing tactics, and enthusiastic about carrying brand strategy through to execution. We are a small and agile team, and this role requires someone who is eager to solve problems and put in the work to drive results.

As a member of the Creative Team, the Brand Strategist will be asked to…

‍

• Consult with clients and assist in the facilitation of in-person or virtual branding sessions 
• Cultivate a personal investment and build trust with clients
• Write brand messaging decks and present them to clients
• Consult on and propose efforts for our team to assist clients with:
  
  • Content Development
  • Brand creation and/or updating
  • Paid advertising
  • Email marketing
  • Social media
  • Website Enhancements
  • SEO and GEO
  • Analytics and tracking
  • And any other channels or initiatives that are necessary to meet the client’s goals
• Be a key strategic voice with a broad understanding of marketing tactics
• Collaborate with our wider creative and marketing teams to carry the brand strategy into the marketing strategy and execution
• Be a font of creative ideas to help clients solve problems
• Support the various senior members of the agency in identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency in our service offerings
• Collaborate with senior agency leadership in key moments of the sales cycle, when requested, to help support the process of finding new clients
• Assist in and actually execute writing tasks across all channels for our clients

THE PERSON WE NEED

The right candidate for the Brand Strategist position will be…

• A clear, energetic, and empathetic communicator capable of building strong relationships with our clients and with colleagues
• A creative writer who is passionate about understanding human behavior and communicating on behalf of brands to help move potential customers to take action
• Passionate about the Catholic faith, with a deep desire to help people come to know Jesus and his Church
• Comfortable managing numerous projects and tasks at once
• Able to navigate marketing platforms on behalf of clients
• Comfortable handling difficult conversations and pushing a team to align around an initiative in order to drive a specific result
• Committed to ongoing personal and professional growth
• A strong leader able to facilitate meetings and galvanize a team to align around a specific goal 
• Humble and aware of their deep goodness and dignity as a beloved child of God

And the right candidate will have…

• 3+ years of experience in marketing, writing, brand work, or related
• An ability to balance quality, time, and budget to produce the best possible work on every project
• Diligence, attention to detail, and a drive to work hard in order to serve our clients and the Kingdom of God well
• Professional experience working with brand messaging frameworks, brand books, and similar
• An unwavering steadiness and peacefulness rooted in the Catholic identity
