Software Engineer

5 Stones has  software engineers on our technology team with various levels of experience who collaborate with the rest of our agency team to serve our growing list of Catholic clients. Our software engineers work collaboratively with their design and marketing teammates to serve our mission-driven clients by developing simple, effective technical solutions that their audience can trust. In addition to maintaining websites, applications, and other technical systems on behalf of our clients, senior software engineers are responsible for the architecture of scalable and lean software solutions.

The right candidate for our software team will be…

  • Able to learn quickly, be highly organized, multitask, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to learn new technologies and stay abreast of general software engineering best practices
  • Reliable with high attention to detail
  • Interested in and with an aptitude for communicating with a close-knit team of developers, designers, and marketers in a highly collaborative team setting
  • Open to giving and receiving constructive feedback to and from team members
  • Passionate about this work in a way that keeps him or her up-to-date with industry standards and trends
  • ‍Humble and aware of their deep goodness and dignity as a beloved child of God

Location

While we would love for all of our employees to experience the dynamic culture of collaboration, prayer, and camaraderie that we have in our office in Sycamore, IL (60 miles west of Chicago), the right candidate for the Software team would be extended the possibility of remote work.
