NET Ministries challenges young adults to follow Christ as missionary disciples and share the Gospel through dynamic relational ministry.
After 40+ years of fruitful ministry, NET found themselves at a pivotal moment in their growth. Their brand no longer fully reflected their identity and what God was calling them to do. It was time for an updated expression of the brand that had touched millions of Catholics and impacted so many in the Church.
Our team led NET through a series of on-site meetings exploring their brand archetype, personality, voice, and tone. Together, we dug into what makes NET… NET. This led to an exploration of more brand elements, including typography, colors, logo, and even their patron saint.
From that collaboration, a new brand book was born. This practical toolkit lays out everything it takes to look, sound, and act like NET. The mission hasn’t changed, but the brand’s fresh presentation enables them to better connect with a new generation of missionaries.
With the brand book in hand (and a little help from 5 Stones), NET launched their rebrand! Their internal team has enthusiastically embraced the new brand standards, and their key stakeholders are excited about the new life and direction this signals for the ministry. We are so honored to have played a role in this milestone and can’t wait to see what God has next for NET in this new season.
Need a guide to NET’s mission and core values? How to tell their story? Their brand voice? How to format type and what colors to use? All that and much more can be found in one of the most extensive brand books we’ve ever developed.
No rebrand is complete without a new logo. Our team worked hard to create a mark that honored NET’s history and looked forward to a bold and bright future. The logo consists of four parts, ultimately symbolizing NET’s mission to “put out into deep water and lower (their) nets for a catch” (Luke 5:4) and to make “fishers of men” (Luke 5:10).
The 5 Stones team felt like family. They came to us with the right questions, exercises, experience, and intuition to help us understand our situation and the path forward. By the end of our first day together, we knew they took great care in both knowing us and our ministry, but also challenging us to really make this effort worth it and successful. We’re so thankful for their support and partnership and already looking towards how we can continue to partner for the kingdom.
A critical part of NET’s brand rollout was applying the refreshed brand to their website. Our team played a key role—building out the homepage, creating a plug-and-play module library, and setting up the site styles. That way their team could easily add and adjust pages while staying consistent with the new brand.
