Their Mission

When Bishop Ronald Hicks was shepherding the Diocese of Joliet, he and his team were preparing to release a new pastoral letter. They sought a unique visual identity and website that would elevate the inspirational message and encourage parishioners to actively live out their faith. The goal was to create a meaningful and accessible experience for parishioners that communicated the Bishop's call to action and empowered parishes to promote the letter’s themes effectively within their communities.

Our Role

5 Stones partnered with the Diocese’s communications and evangelization teams to bring the Bishop’s vision to life through the MAKE campaign. We developed a distinctive visual brand that highlighted the fresh, inspiring vision of the pastoral letter. Our team designed and built a custom website to serve as a central resource for parishes, providing them with tools and materials to engage their communities. We also created promotional assets to ensure the letter’s message was consistently communicated across all diocesan channels.

The Results

The MAKE campaign successfully increased visibility for the pastoral letter, motivating parishioners to take concrete steps in their faith and fostering a deeper connection with the Diocese’s mission to make disciples and engage with the mission of the Church. The website served as a central resource for distributing materials, while the promotional tools encouraged active participation. Overall, the campaign empowered parishes to effectively communicate the Bishop’s vision and inspired greater engagement across the diocese.

A NEW LOGO

A logo and brand book were created to support the new visual identity of the MAKE campaign. The logo features a red heart split open by a burst of radiant light. This energy symbolizes renewal and action, echoing the bishop’s call for the Diocese of Joliet to let their hearts be set aflame with the life-giving love of Jesus.

A FRESH WEBSITE PRESENCE

A custom website was designed to accompany the new brand and pastoral letter for the Diocese of Joliet, extending the message into a welcoming digital experience. Serving as both a spiritual resource and a practical hub, this website invites the faithful to encounter the heart of the letter, reflect on its call, and take active steps in living out the mission of the Diocese of Joliet.
